Charitable Partners & Funding
Amici’s Children Camp Charity provide financial support to children in financial need to attend overnight summer camps in Ontario. Each year Kandalore partners with Amici to support the experience of 15 campers at Kandalore. To learn more please reach out to Amici.
Taylor Statten Camping Bursary Fund provides financial assistance to potential campers who are in financial need, are at least 11 years old and have shown leadership qualities. Campers who are registering for our A1 session, are eligible for funding. To learn more, visit their website or contact us.
Kandalore Leadership Scholarship
Each year, Kandalore offers one full and several partial Leadership Scholarships for our one-month Pathfinder Program (offered for both July and August). This program is a perfect opportunity to connect with other youth and focus on leadership development all while having an amazing time on the beautiful Kandalore site.
The Pathfinder Program combines an in-camp leadership experience and a Grade 11 course with participation in over 30 camp activities, as well as a 5-day whitewater canoe trip down the Madawaska River.
All Leaders will work on attaining:
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-C
- Bronze Medallion and/or Cross
- ORCKA canoeing levels
- Healthy Living & Outdoor Activities, Grade 11 (PAD30) OSSD Credit (Additional cost of $600)
- 40 hours of community service
Eligible applicants are those born in 2009 who have a genuine interest, respect and concern for the well-being of others, who have a keen involvement in their school or community and who consistently work towards personal growth and development. Many Leaders move on to work as counselors at Kandalore, and all successful applicants will build the social skills, confidence, creativity and independence that young people need to be successful in today’s world.
